Position Description

The Director of Quality Improvement (QI) assumes responsibility for formulation and implementation of the Quality Improvement Program as set forward by Agency, State and Federal guidelines. 

Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with the operation & ongoing education of Agency staff relative to the QI Program & the Agency’s standards of care.
  • Oversees the organization of quarterly QI meetings including QI Committee, Performance Improvement & other meetings as mandated.
  • Monitors clinical documentation for compliance with Agency, State & Federal regulations
  • Maintains the Agency’s Emergency Disaster Plan and provides ongoing updates.
  • Reviews all reports of complaints & incidents to ensure that they are properly documented & investigated in a timely manner.
  • Drafts, revises & updates Agency’s policies & procedures

Reports to and performs other related duties assigned by Director of Patient Services/Administrator. In an emergency, performs other duties necessary for the welfare of Patients or the efficient operation of the Agency. You must have a New York State Registered Nurse License and Registration. Salary commensurate with experience.
